Color and form!
I'm fascinated with Sicilian ceramics. Sicilian ceramic heads, known as Teste di Moro (Moor's Heads) are handcrafted vases steeped in local folklore. They depict ornate, regal faces and traditional are made in pairs to commemorate a dramatic legend of passion or betrayal.
To the left, the ceramic pinecone (known as pigna) is a symbol of good luck, property, and hospitality as the pine trees stay green all year. Both the Teste di Moro and pigna are very popular in Sicilian culture and can be found all over the island.
