New Orleans building

The French Quarter

The Vieux Carre is New Orleans' most famous neighborhood and one of New Orleans’ most historic. The French quarter was established as a colonial outpost in 1718.

Here is an example of the many 18th and 19th century Creole buildings. The wrought iron railings, brick facades, and hidden courtyards with fountains is typical construction of the buildings you can find in the French quarter.

The more time that you spend walking through the quaint and charming streets the more you discover.
